The new liquid-cooled motor has seen an engine capacity hike from 279cc to 330cc thanks to an increase in bore and stroke. Power is up by 1.3PS and 4.3Nm. The new motor now makes 29.2PS at 7500rpm and 31.5Nm at 5250rpm. Most of the power and torque is accessible from 3500rpm onwards. Updates to the motor include larger throttle bodies and intake valves, revised intake and exhaust ports, a lighter crankshaft, and a freer flowing exhaust. Honda claims the new Forza 350 is quicker than the Forza 300 and has a higher top speed of 137kmph.
Besides the motor, the Forza 350 also features updates to the bodywork. It gets an LED headlamp and LED tail lamp with an emergency stop signal. The electrically adjustable windscreen now offers up to 180mm adjustability, 40mm more than before. A plastic grab rail replaces the previous aluminium unit, resulting in weight savings of 1.4kg. The scooter weighs 184kg now. It has a low 780mm seat height and a huge underseat storage space that can hold two full-face helmets with ease.
Honda had planned to launch the Forza 300 in India and even sold a few units of the maxi-scooter here. With the Euro 5-compliant Forza 350 replacing the Forza 300 overseas, Honda could bring the Forza 350 to India later this year.
