Honda Launches New BS-IV Compliant Honda Activa 125 At Rs 56,954 (Ex- Delhi)

Besides a BS-IV compliant motor, the new scooter features cosmetic updates
The Activa 125, like the Activa 3G, has been a bestseller in its segment and since debut has sold over six lakh units. For 2017, Honda has launched the new Activa 125 in the Indian market which is also the first scooter to meet the upcoming BS-IV emission norms in April. The new scooter receives a price hike of Rs 500 and now retails at Rs 56,954 (ex-showroom, Delhi). As part of the BS-IV norms, the scooter also gets the Auto Headlamp On (AHO) feature.
Design-wise, the Activa 125 gets LED pilot lamps neatly integrated into the front apron between the centre bezel and turn indicators. The scooter now a new colour option - Mat Crust Metallic.
New features include a smartphone charging socket and a retractable hook in the front apron.
The BS-IV compliant 124.9cc motor has revised power outputs. While power is down by 0.2PS, torque is up by 0.42Nm. The air-cooled single now makes 8.5PS @ 6,500rpm and 10.54Nm of torque.
Cycle parts remain unchanged with a telescopic forks upfront and a single hydraulic damper at the rear. The front gets a 12-inch wheel while the rear makes do with a 10-inch wheel, both shod with tubeless tyres. The base version of the bike gets 130mm drum brakes with Combined Braking System (CBS) as standard and the option of a 190mm disc upfront.
The bike also gets a new mid variant that gets alloys with drum brakes.
The Honda Activa 125 faces competition from the Suzuki Access 125, Vespa 125 and the Mahindra Gusto 125.
