Honda might price its 100cc bike at 27000

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) to launch a cheap motorcycle in Indian two wheeler market that will be based on China's Honda Wave. It is expected, the upcoming 100cc bike might be very cheap than other cheapest bikes in India. According to latest media report, this cheap bike- Honda Wave, might be priced at Rs. 27000 in Indian market. We can say it will be the cheapest bike in India. If the bike might be launched, it will be affordable than Hero Honda CD Dawn, TVS Max 4R, Vybgyor Gallop, Bajaj Platina 100cc etc. These bikes priced between Rs. 33,000 to 33,210 in Indian market. Honda's research and development which is situated in Shanghai, China to design this cheapest bike for Asia, including the Indian market.

Honda's product known for latest and reliable technology and it is expected that upcoming cheapest bike of Honda will be loaded with great features than other entry level popular bikes in India. The 100cc bike might be very fuel efficient and will meet to BS III norms which will make it eco-friendly. The bike might be first choice of the buyers.

HMSI has a large two wheeler series in Indian market and the company has launched its entry level bike named Honda CB Twister in April 2010. And the company is selling 15000 unites per month.

After break from Hero Group, Honda wants to spread its wings in all segment bikes market. So the company is investing Rs. 500 crore to set up a second plant in Rajasthan with a capacity to produce 60,0000 bikes per year. Including this capacity, all plants of Honda to touch 2.2 billion two wheeler per year against Hero Honda (5.2 million unites per year) and Bajaj Auto (4.98 million by March 2011).

Before the launch of this cheap bike, Honda is going to launch its one more sports bike in Indian two wheeler market named Honda CBR 250R. The bike already running on Indonesian roads. This bike will also come equipped with good features against Kawasaki Ninja 250R, Mahindra Mojo (which is expected), Hero Honda Karizma ZMR, Bajaj Pulsar 220 and TVS Apache RTR 180. It is expected that, the price of the bike might be competitive than above mentioned popular bikes in India.

At present HMSI has 765 dealer, sub-dealer and 315 authorised service centres in India, but the company is working to increase number of its outlets. Specially, the company is setting its eyes to establish its dealers network in rural areas to provide and make popular its all segment bikes.
