Honda Motors to exaggerate production by setting up new manufacturing plant in Hyderabad

With the tremendous growth of fastest growing auto market, India, the companies are forced to increase their production capabilities so as to meet the demands. The well renowned company, Honda Motor Scooter India (HMSI), has now finalised an area in Hyderabad to set up a manufacturing plant. This is the first manufacturing plant to be set in southern India by the company. Honda has been the ever favourite of the Indian customers with its outstanding and powerful two-wheelers.
The company is to make a total investment of Rs. 1000 crore for construction purpose of this plant, which would be utilised gradually i.e. Rs. 500 crore once and then again Rs. 500 crore would be used. The plant to be set up soon is third manufacturing plant of Honda Motors with its first two being situated at Manesar in Haryana that is efficient to produce a total of 1.55 million units per annum and Tapukara in Rajasthan which possess a capability of manufacturing 6 lakh units yearly. The new plant is planned to produce a total of 2000 two wheelers per month and the capacity would be increased with time.
As per news, it is enquired that two more international companies are to set up their plants in India in a way to provide the Indian customers with reasonable models. The Camozzi and Korean power equipment major Hyosung Corporation plans to invest Rs 300 and Rs 450 crores in Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Managing Director B R Meena said, "Honda wanted 100 acres of land for setting up the facility and we have shown them available land in Medak and Nalgonda districts close to Hyderabad". He added, “Honda officials have submitted their proposal for setting up the two-wheeler manufacturing facility two days ago. They are yet to submit a detailed project report to us,".
In regard of the two other international companies, Meena said, "We had preliminary discussions with representatives of these major companies and are awaiting submission of detailed project reports. The proposals are under active consideration of the government,".
