Honda planning to launch two bikes in India

The Honda Motorcycle & Scooters India is the subsidiary of the Honda Motor Company which is a Japanese firm and carries its overall stake. Honda is planning to launch two more products into the Indian market as speculated.
The Honda may introduce a new 100cc bike and another scooter as reported recently. The demand of 100 cc bikes is fuming in Indian market as it provides a good fuel economy. The scooter which they plan to launch may be another add on to their list of many other scooters already available in the market such as Honda Activa, Honda Aviator, Honda Dio, Honda Eterno etc. The Honda Motorcycle & Scooters India with its sale in scooter segment, has the privilege of 54 percent market share in India. HMSI has a total of 13- 14 percent of the market share in the two wheeler sector of Indian market.
It is believed that Honda Motorcycle & Scooters India may cross their previous attempt of sale in India which figured around 1.6 million in 2010. This year they aim to cross the last year's sale and put a goal of 2 million unit sale in India. They have developed a new production unit in Karnataka which is to produce new Honda bikes and scooters to cope up the increasing demands of the Honda two wheelers in the country.
The HMSI has announced, as reported they are ready to launch the Honda CBR 250R in Hyderabad. The CBR 250R will be available in two variants- Standard and C-ABS. The Standard Honda CBR 250R will be available at Rs 1.47 lakh whereas, the Honda CBR 250R C-ABS will be priced at Rs 1.73 lakh. This announcement has made a excitement among the public and that can be seen by the more than 2,000 advance bookings done by the buyers.
