Honda plans new 100 cc bike

In order to revive sales and extend its product lineup in India, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Limited after its separation with Hero group of India, is going to introduce a new 100 cc bike at the Auto Expo show to be held in January next year. The company is taking this step as the result of sluggish performance of their Honda CB Twister in 100 cc and Honda CB Dazzler in 150 cc segment. As is known that both bikes are highly acclaimed bikes from Honda Bikes. The new Honda 100cc price in India is expected to be quite reasonable in order to compete in the already tough 100cc segment. 

There are reports that taking a step towards the production of new 100 cc bike Honda bikes has reduced the production of both Honda CB Twister and Honda CB Dazzler due to poor sales performance in the domestic market. There are also reports that Honda has brought its production capacity to half of its earlier existing capacity, however as far as Honda CB Twister is related, the company is anticipating to stop its production completely by the end of this financial year. According to the sources there is huge stock of both Honda bikes available with the  dealers and as the result of sluggish sales dealers have stopped taking the new stocks of both Honda bikes.

The sources reveal that at present company is concentrating mainly on the production of its new 100 cc bikes which is expected to made on the same platform as company is producing for its Indonesian market and this model will be  introduced in the  forth coming Auto Expo show in 2012. The second reason of focussing on 100 cc bikes is that it will be in cut throat competition of 100 cc bikes from Hero Moto Corp.

According to the authentic sources of company when HMSI was constituted, company decided not to curtail the production of Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler. According to the reports at present the capacity of both Honda Dazzler and Honda Unicorn is 12000 units per month. Company has moved the production of Honda CB Twister from their first plant to second plant and this has influenced the production of CB Twister.
