Rumors milling around the launch of Honda RC213V-S turned to be a truth last week in Spain When Honda rendered its new MotoGP monster turned production bike for riding both on track and road. Honda’s awaited sport star will cost around 188,000 Euros as a standard version in the international market.

Honda has launched its RC213V-S in both the standard and sports versions. The standard version produces 159bhp, and the machine with the optional sports kit will light up the track to a power of 215bhp. RC213V-S is based on RC213V machine which is the two times MotoGP winner.
Honda has made a few changes for its standard to comply with the road rules. Seamless gearbox is replaced by a conventional cassette gearbox and the roadworthy coil springs has taken place of pneumatic valves. All these changes are inspired by the forerunner RCV1000R  an open category racing bike which was more durable.

This screaming and ear-piercingly loud MotoGP bike is powered by a liquid-cooled 999cc 4-stroke 4-valve DOHC V-4 engine that make it more whatever the previous records say. Meeting the bikers expectations the 90 degree V4 motor is packed with titanium and low friction surfaces.

RC213V has a aluminium and carbon fibre frame boasting its high torsional rigidity and makes it a light weight flight. It weigh around 170 kg and 160 kg with and without sports kit respectively which is well balanced across the body. Whole of the bodyline is hand crafted to imitate the racer’s mind.

Electronic rider aids, including variable power modes, traction control, a quickshifter and engine braking control a Honda sports bike is going to flaunt these kind of features for the first time. Honda’s new superbike also features such as side mirrors, license plate holder, head and taillights, parking stand, starter motor and muffler with catalytic converter which not are included in the track version. Furnished with the new tyres, brake discs and pads, the bike’s steering ratio is wider now. To attract the road bikers Honda has added some luring characteristics like Smart Key and a bigger battery.

Keeping in mind the issues of safety the company has focused on the mass centralization and heavy reduction of friction losses to assure that the bike maintains the performance benchmarks.
