Honda sales increased to 41 pc in April

One of the renowned auto major, Honda Motorcycles & Scooter India Limited has registered increased sales of 41.41 percent in April, 2010. It managed to sell 1,36,860 units to 96,782 units in the same month of last year, HMSI said in a statement. The company's scooter segment has also registered a 33.89 percent growth in sales to 72,687 units in April 2010. In comparison, HMSI sold 54,287 units in the corresponding month of the 2009. While Motorcycles sales increased by 51.02 percent to 64,175 vehicles in last month, compare with 42,495 units in the same month of previous year, it added. After selling a good number of vehicles in the last month, now company's upcoming plans are to launch a new version of old horses, which has already seen tremendous response in the Indian auto market. Honda Motor is going to launch a new upgraded version of Honda Unicorn, called as Honda CB Dazzler. The new version meets with latest BS-III emission norms. New BS-III emission norms was came into effect from first April 2010. Meanwhile, Honda CB Twister, one of the best mass segment bike, which has got overwhelming response from the Indian two-wheelers customers.
