The Shine BS6 gets an all-new powertrain. Its 124cc BS6-compliant motor gets a different bore and stroke configuration and is more undersquare now. The new motor offers 0.4PS and 0.5Nm more than the BS4 CB Shine BS6. The new powerplant also gets an ACG starter motor for silent starts. It shares this tech with the SP 125, Activa 6G, Activa 125 BS6, and Dio BS6. The 5-speed gearbox should help the motor run more relaxed at highway speeds.

The Shine BS6 is dimensionally larger than the BS4 CB Shine. While the fuel-tank capacity remains the same, the Shine BS6 has a longer wheelbase and taller ground clearance. The Shine BS6 weighs a whopping 8kg less than the BS4 CB Shine. That should help in performance, fuel efficiency, and the overall dynamics of the Shine BS6. Both motorcycles use similar wheels and braking setup consisting of a front disc, rear drum, and combined braking system. On the suspension front, while both use telescopic forks, the dual shock absorbers on the Shine BS6 get 5-step preload adjustability.
