Finally Honda Motorcycle & Scooters India, the legendary bike manufacturing company has disclosed its expansion plans of  hiking its production capacity to four million bikes per year in India along with expanding its production strength by constructing one more production factory near Bangalore by the middle of 2013.

After termination of its joint venture with Munjals of Hero Motor Co. of India both Hero Motor Co, and Honda Motor Co. are in process of strengthening their position in market and making profits on the basis their own identity. At present the production plant in Rajasthan in under construction. With this sources from Honda also added that the production at its third production unit being established near Bangalore will start operating with production capacity of 1.2 million units per year by the year 2013.

Where at one side Honda Motor Co has established itself as Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India on the other side Hero Motor Co. has renamed itself as Hero Honda Motor LTD (HHML) as according to terms of joint venture Hero Motor Co. can used name of Honda as an affix behind its  name till 2014 after which Honda’s name will disappear from the bikes manufactured by Hero Motor Co. However, there are reports that Hero Motor’s has also announced its expansion strategy to global market few days according to which once all the formalities are made it will change its name to Hero MotoCorp. LTD instead of HHML.

However, at present Honda’s Honda CBR 250R, Honda CB Twister, Honda Activa already capture the huge percentage of market due to their  reliable and powerful performance. Where on side Honda CB Twister and Honda Activa have become the established names in the two wheeler market, on the other side recently launched Honda CBR 250R is also being appreciated by the bike lovers.
