Honda VFR1200F launched in India

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) has launched its long awaited sports tourer, Honda VFR 1200F in India today. The all new Honda VFR is available with hefty price tag of Rs. 17.5 lakh (ex-showroom-Delhi). The new superbike from Honda's stable is powered by 1237cc, massive liquid cooled 76 degree, V-4, Four valve per cylinder, SOHC engine which can produce awesome power output of 170 bhp at 10,000 rpm and belts out a peak torque of 129 Nm at 8750 rpm from its powerful engine.
Shinji Aoyama, President and CEO of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said, "This fun bike is manufactured at the Honda's most advanced facility and the mother plant of global motorcycles - the Kumamoto factory in Japan. Honda VFR1200F is a concept driven by extensive customer needs." HMSI is already having their two massive superbikes, called as Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade and the CB1000R Street-Fighter, which are getting an excellent response from Indian buyers.
Now, the company hopes the new heavyweight motorcycle will also ready to get a tremendous response from the auto market. According to officials the new Honda VFR 1200F will be imported as completely built unit (CBU) in the country. The new bike is going to attract the new generation of India. Apart from that launch, Indian superbike lovers will see more launches in India that include Suzuki Gladius, Kawasaki Ninja 650R and BMW K1300s.
