The event took place on 10th July 2022
The Jawa and Yezdi community across the country took to the streets on their motorcycles on Sunday, 10th July 2022 to celebrate the 20th International Jawa-Yezdi Day. The two brands saw record participation this year, with more than 5,000 riders attending events and club/dealership-organized rides across India, making it the largest Jawa-Yezdi day to date. The turnout not only included existing owners, but also new Jawa and Yezdi riders.
The main event this year was hosted in the city of Bengaluru, which is one of the biggest Jawa-Yezdi Kommunities in India. Nearly 1200 people and 1000 motorcycles gathered at the St. Joseph’s School Ground in the city.
There were also a host of activities like an on-site ‘Adventure Trail’, display of iconic Jawa & Yezdi models and live music performances. The event also had competitions like ‘Tug of War’, ‘Best Restored Motorcycle’, ‘Best Maintained Motorcycle’ as well as ‘Highest Distance Travelled’ on a Jawa or Yezdi bike.
The International Jawa-Yezdi day was a grand success this year and it’ll be interesting to see what the 2023 International Jawa-Yezdi day has in store for us.
