The names of these lucky winners via a lucky draw have been published on the company’s official website
- This unique model features a unique paint scheme and a ‘90th Anniversary’ sticker on the fuel tank.
- Only 90 units were up for grabs.
- The bike remains unchanged mechanically.
We had earlier reported the launch of the limited-edition Jawa in the early weeks of October. Priced at Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom), the Jawa 90th Anniversary model pays homage to the first Jawa motorcycle from 1929 -- the 500 OHV. And as the name suggests, only 90 of these unique bikes were up for grabs. The iconic brand has now published the names of these lucky winners who will be receiving immediate deliveries of the bike.
So what’s so special about this bike, you ask? Well, it gets a unique dual-tone cream and red paint scheme similar to the 500 OHV, along with a ‘90th Anniversary’ badge on the fuel tank. Aside from this, the bike remains unchanged. Powering the bike is the same 293cc single-cylinder motor that pumps out 27PS and 28Nm, paired to a six-speed transmission. It gets dual-channel ABS as standard.
It's a known fact that the brand has been way behind its delivery schedule. To put things into perspective, those who have put down a deposit for their bikes have to wait between 6 months to 10 months for deliveries for the Jawa and Jawa 42. That's the current situation, but the company is also working on three new Jawas with different engine configurations, which will be launched in the next 18 months.
