The Japanese supercharged cruiser aims to rattle the Ducati Diavel 1260 and Triumph Rocket 3
- It will pack the same 998cc supercharged engine, albeit in a different state of tune.
- Expected to share hardware with the Kawasaki Z H2.
- Could be unveiled in the first half of 2021.
Last year, Kawasaki pulled the wraps off its supercharged streetfighter, the Z H2, at the Tokyo Motor Show. Now, the revered Japanese brand is all set to introduce another member in the H2 family, likely to be called the Eliminator H2. Like other motorcycles from the family, it will be another unique motorcycle in its segment.
Though details are scarce at the moment, the Kawasaki Eliminator H2 is expected to use the same supercharged 998cc liquid-cooled inline-four motor from the Z H2 but it could be detuned to suit the cruiser’s character. Rather than being an absurdly powerful cruiser belting over 200PS, the Eliminator could produce 170-175PS with more focus on low-end grunt.
While we still don’t know what the bike could look like, the folks at Young Machine have already released a render.
It shows the bike gets the same tubular frame as the other bikes from the family with the intake port of the supercharger running from the left side of the engine. The swooping teardrop-shaped tank, comfortable, low seat and the low-slung stance, is in a typical cruiser format, however, the low handlebar and the mid-set footpegs show the bike’s sporty intent.
The Eliminator H2 could very well turn out to be the most powerful cruiser in production, and if that’s the case, it would require apt hardware. The render shows the bike gets a USD fork and twin disc brakes at the front (Brembo Stylema from the Z H2 likely). Kawasaki may opt to equip the bike with a comprehensive electronic package as well.
We expect Kawasaki to unveil the Eliminator H2 in the first half of 2021. If and when launched, it will take on the Ducati Diavel 1260 S and the Triumph Rocket 3 R.
