Kawasaki to Bring a New Baby Kwacker Next Month, Might be Versys 250

Kawasaki recently showcased its small wonder at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show, which it names as Z125. Now, the company has revealed that it will be bringing an all-new smaller capacity motorcycle in December and the details of it have not been exposed yet. If the sources are to be believed, the upcoming bike will be the scaled down version of Kawasaki’s popular adventure tourer - Versys.

Kawasaki has started sending official invites for an event scheduled on 11th and 12th December in Spain. The Japanese manufacturer has further revealed that ‘it will be an all new small-capacity machine’ that further confirms the arrival of a new baby Kwacker. A few auto portals suggested that the bike will be the restyled version of the Ninja 300, but we don’t think that would be the case as Kawasaki would not have used “all-new” phrase in its invite then. Furthermore, the upcoming bike is neither the Z125 that was premiered at the Tokyo Motor Show in Japan. The reason being an official from Kawasaki told Visordown, ‘The Z125 has not been homologated for Europe, so we will not be importing it into Europe at all.’

This leaves only one motorcycle pending, which is the Versys 250 or the Versys 300. Some Indonesian websites have even claimed that the new bike will be the one-down version of the existing Versys. According to some sources, the machine will come equipped with the same engine that empowers the Kawasaki Ninja 300. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that the new Kawasaki makes its way to India as well.
