More Details to Emerge on BMW-TVS Bikes

The world knows that BMW is developing sub-500cc bikes for India and other emerging markets with their partner TVS Motors. After a long impateient wait, the company might announce the new bike range today. Lee Nicholls, BMW Motorrad's UK head of marketing, was speaking on the same before the press unvieling of the New 2014 NineT, 1200cc Retro Roadster in the Munich. As per Lee, these bikes will include some naked and dirt bikes of 250cc and below capacity. He also said that the bikes will be developed under the BMW-TVS alliance, which will be sold in emerging markets like Asia and their traditional markets UK and USA.

Currently, BMW G650GS adventure bike is the smallest capacity bike offered by the company. However, bikes between 200 to 500cc like KTM Duke 200 and 390, CBR250R and Ninja 300 are performing well globally. BMW is losing its market share in the UK and USA, and to regain it BMW wants to launch entry level performance bikes. Official launch of the NineT has been held today and more details of the upcoming sub 500cc range are expected to be shared by the company during the launch. Stay Tuned for more updates.
