MV Agusta Brutale 800 Specs Out

The Italian motorcycle manufacturer has put all the details of its upcoming bike Brutale 800 ahead of its EICMA debut. The Brutale 800 is based on the Brutale 675 model, but features a stronger engine and some key modifications for improved performance. It features a 12 valve three-cylinder 798cc Inline Triple unit, which is based on the same engine that powers the F3 super sport. Compared to the 675 Brutale, the 800’s engine features a higher compression ratio at 13.3:1. The engine develops a maximum power of 125bhp at 11,600rpm with a peak torque of 81Nm at 8600rpm. The bike weighs only 167 kg, thus the 800 Brutale offers a unique power to weight ratio. Aside from the new engine, the Brutale 800 offers a new adjustable suspension allowing the riders complete personalisation.

The bike will come equipped with a dependable advanced electronics package unique within this category: MVICS (Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System), the integrated management system of the vehicle, includes the first Full Ride by Wire with multi-map and integrated traction control. Offering optimised delivery at all engine speeds, maximum engine efficiency in terms of fuel consumption, and of course the opportunity to select different engine characteristics, choosing from the four available maps: three pre-sets, one personalised. Traction control also ensures safety and performance on any road or track surface, allowing the driver to concentrate entirely on riding.

The designing of the Brutale 800 has the traits of typical MV Agusta engineering. Handling, traction, ease of use and performance: The objectives of the project were achieved by focusing on the chassis with a mixed structure. An unmistakable trademark of MV Agusta, consisting of the front section steel tube trellis and two aluminium alloy plates, fulcrum point for the long singlesided swingarm, designed to ensure the most efficient transmission of power to the asphalt. The new Brutale 800 is likely to offer one more option in the naked street bike segment and bridge the gap between the big bikes and the Brutale 765 and the 920, soit will be interesting to see how the customers will choose in this middle-to-heavy weight class.

The 2013 Brutale 800’s 3-cylinder 798cc engine to drive the Rivale, so the awesome triple exhaust which tends to become much acclaimed trademark for MV Agusta. Better features have been installed on the Brutale 800, such as fully adjustable suspension for both front AND rear, with high-tech Brembo monoblock calipers to squeeze the 320mm/ 220mm rotors. Electronic Shift Assist can equip the 2013 MV Agusta Brutale 800 upon request, but the MV Agusta 8-level traction control system is standard. The 2013 MV Agusta Brutale 800 will be available in Ruby Metallic Red/Silver, White/Mamba Red, Matt metallic Grey/Pearl White and White/Blue Pearl “ITALIA".
