Check out Aprilia's most affordable scooter in India in detailed images
After making its debut at the 2018 Auto Expo, the Aprilia Storm 125 has finally been launched in India at Rs 65,000 (ex-showroom Pune). The new 125cc scooter shares most of its underpinnings with its cousin, the SR 125. However, there are some key differences between both the scooters. Here’s a detailed look at Aprilia’s brand new offering, the Storm 125.
The Storm 125 is available in two new bright paint options, matte red and matte yellow, unlike the SR 125.
Along with the new colour schemes, the new 125cc scooter also gets sporty graphics.
To keep costs in check, the Strom 125 gets a single halogen headlamp as opposed to the dual-halogen unit seen on the SR 125.
In an age of digital instrument clusters, some even with connectivity options, the Storm gets the same analogue dash of the SR 125. Even a semi-digital instrument cluster, if not a fully digital one, would have been appreciated.
The suspension setup, however, is the same as its sibling: telescopic fork up front and a monoshock unit at the rear.
The major difference between the Storm 125 and the SR 125 is the tyre setup. It features 12-inch dual-purpose tyres (front - 120/80, rear - 130/80), unlike the SR 125’s 14-inch units.
The Storm 125 misses out on the front disc brake which is offered on the SR 125 and makes do with drum units on both ends.
It houses the same 124.49cc engine seen on the SR 125. This motor churns out 9.6PS of power and 9.9Nm of torque.
