New Kawasaki bikes in India

Bajaj Auto is now looking to increase Kawasaki's range with the launch of more bikes in India. India's leading auto maker is accelerated to introduce high-end products from the Japanese stable later in 2010. The company has already launched its Kawasaki 250R. It is priced at Rs. 2.69 lakh(ex-showroom, New Delhi), is similar to Maruti's Alto car price in India. The company will include locally assembled bikes as well as fully- imported superbikes in the country. As per selling and importing high-end capacity engine Kawasaki bikes, the company has an agreement with Kawasaki Heavy Industries Group. Bajaj Auto has sold over 500 units of the Kawasaki Ninja 250R since its launch in India and targeting to sell about 1000 units by October 2010. Rajiv Bajaj, managing director, Bajaj Auto, said that we plan to introduce more superbikes from the Kawasaki stable later in the year. Kawasaki Ninja 250R is sold through a series of select outlets, it's called as Probiking in India. The company is assembling its superbike at Bajaj's Chaken facility near Pune. All other globally famous high-capacity models are imported directly. A company executive said," We are eager to see more manufacturer products in India, but it will happen, after getting a good response about Ninja 250R model from the market. Apart from it, In India, we will see more launches like TVS Wigo, Yamaha YZF R125 and Yamaha SZ. Besides, Yamaha Motor has launched its entry-level model Yamaha YBR recently.
