The bikes will get updated engine along with new colour schemes
Bajaj is going to launch the updated versions of the popular KTM twins in India. While the RC 200 gets updated Euro 4 engines and a revised paint scheme, the bigger RC 390 will receive even more significant updates.
Painted in an interesting black-orange shade with white graphics, the 2017 RC 390 will get a side-slung exhaust, making it different from the predecessor. The 373.3cc single will be Euro4 compliant and will deliver 1Nm extra as well, pushing the peak torque output to 36Nm. Other major updates will be a bigger 320mm front disc brake, ride-by-wire, and adjustable brake and clutch lever.
On the other hand, the new RC 200 will get the same graphic pattern as its elder sibling; however, the colour template will be rearranged with a majority of white on the front fairing. Its 199.5cc motor will also be Euro4 compliant; however, it will continue with the existing underbelly exhaust system. These will not be any variation in the power and torque figures and it is also not expected to receive any new equipment or electronics.
Making the pillion seat a bit more comfortable, both bikes will also get 12mm of extra padding. The updates will also add some extra weight to the bikes, along with a hike in their pricing. So, stay tuned with us for the updates on the same.
