However, the Vahan registration numbers tell a different story
Ola Electric finally managed to begin deliveries of the S1 electric scooters on December 16, 2021, and since then, has clocked some decent numbers. Arun Sirdeshmukh, Chief Business Officer, Ola Electric, recently claimed that Ola has shipped almost 4,000 vehicles already.
But going by Vahan’s registration numbers, only 437 units have been registered till date. Moreover, even for the scooters delivered, customers haven't been able to access all the features on the Ola S1. However, the Vahan data isn’t entirely accurate as different states upload data in various ways, and sometimes temporary registrations aren’t updated on the website in real time.

Ola will likely open bookings for the second lot soon, possibly later this month. The company has also started setting up its Hypercharger network and will offer free charging for all customers till mid-2022. Not just that, it plans to install as many as 4000 points over the next year.
