The OTA update will introduce new features including calling and proximity unlock
Ola Electric’s CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has revealed details about the MoveOS 3.0 for the S1 Pro. He has promised that the OTA update will be rolled out by Diwali this year and will introduce a bunch of features promised at the time of launch.
What’s New?
A range of advanced features including Hill hold, proximity unlock, moods, regen v2, hypercharging, calling, key sharing will be offered with the MoveOS 3 update. The most important update could be hypercharging, which will introduce the company’s highly ambitious public charging network to the buyers.

Other features include key sharing, which will allow other people to access an Ola scooter with temporary or permanent access with their phones. Currently, the app allows only one user at a time and requires an OTP via the registered phone number. The calling feature will allow you to answer and reject calls through its touch screen instrument cluster. Head here to know more about the existing features on the Ola S1 Pro.

Moods are interchangeable themes for the instrument console. A second tweet from him also showed the Ola S1 Pro making a fake sound as you blip it the throttle, something that we’ve previously seen on the Revolt RV400. Both of these features were promised at the time of the launch, but didn’t make it to the MoveOS 2.0.
Ola is likely to roll out a Beta version first for selected users, followed by a full public release in the festive season. Looking at the multiple delays the Move OS 2 faced before its launch, it’ll be interesting to see how well Ola Electric can pull the launch of the MoveOS 3 off.
