Ola Electric is set for a Diwali dhamaka, as it has revealed its upcoming affordable electric scooter based on the S1 will be launched on October 22. It is expected that this e-scooter, let’s call it the Ola S1 SE for now, will be priced at under Rs 80,000, thus making it a feature-loaded, greener rival to the Honda Activa 6G.
We had earlier revealed details about this scooter, and our sources have mentioned that the S1 SE will retain most of the features as the S1, as it will be based on Ola’s MoveOS platform. Thus, in order for this e-scooter to be priced around Rs 80,000, Ola will have to equip the S1 SE with a smaller battery, possibly offering a claimed range of around 100km per charge. For perspective, the Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube S have a claimed range of 95km and 105km respectively.

Furthermore, Ola has started offering an optional five-year extended warranty programme for both new and existing owners. Ola recently also opened experience centres across the country in an effort to boost sales.
