Come on Royal Enfield! Can you launch this bike already?

A test mule of the Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 has been spied, after quite some time, and it looks to be ready to get into production. These new spy shots give us a clear view into what this upcoming Royal Enfield bike packs.

For starters, we can clearly see the Scrambler 650 sporting a LED headlight, the same unit seen on the Super Meteor 650. It looks like Royal Enfield is set to kit out its entire 650cc range with LED headlights, as the 2023 iterations of the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 were recently given this update.

Another noticeable bit on the test mule is a flyscreen, which could be a part of the brand’s GMA catalogue. Another such accessory seen is an auxiliary light under the front indicators. While Royal Enfield has never offered auxiliary lights as an accessory, the Scrambler 650 would make for a perfect starting point to roll out additional lighting systems.

This test mule isn’t seen with the scrambler-ish side panels, as the units we see are quite similar to the Interceptor 650. This may indicate the scrambler-style side panels to also be part of the GMA catalogue. However, we do have a clear look at the ribbed seat, which is a typical scrambler element, and works in unison with the overall theme of the bike to nail the aesthetic.

While the Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 roll on 18-inchers, and the Super Meteor 650 gets 19-inch fronts and 16-inch rears, the Scrambler 650 looks to be sporting 18-inch front and 16-inch rear wire spoke wheels, wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR rubber. Unlike its siblings, the Scrambler 650 also gets a two-in-one exhaust design, details of which we have specified in our exclusive story, from the last time we spotted a test mule.

The Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 is expected to be launched in India by June 2023 with a price tag hovering around the Rs 3.50 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. It will rival the likes of the Moto Morini Seiemmezzo 6 ½ Scrambler.
