Retro motorcycles in India enjoy quite some attention, and here are the newly arrived ones
Despite the world getting ‘modernised’, retro-styled motorcycles never lost its charm in India. Bikemakers are, hence, constantly putting out new models every year. So here we bring you the list of retro bikes that arrived in 2022.
Kawasaki W175
The W175 is Kawasaki's most affordable bike. That said, with a rather measly 13PS and 13.2Nm on tap, it is still expensive for what it offers, with its prices starting from Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Its spartan yet retro design, though, looks the part of being the smaller sibling of the old school W800 Street.
Yezdi Scrambler
The Yezdi Scrambler, meanwhile, looks every bit the quintessential scrambler. With its minimalistic panels, high-mounted fender, upswept exhaust and a ribbed seat, this bike is drop dead gorgeous. The beginning of the year was when we witnessed its launch along with two other Yezdi bikes.
Royal Enfield Hunter 350
Royal Enfield’s most affordable J-series platform bike was launched back in August 2022 and costs Rs 1,49,900 (ex-showroom Delhi) onwards. Its retro variant in particular looks every bit the part of err, a retro bike.
Keeway SR125
Keeway too, joined the retro bandwagon by launching the SR125 in India. While we thought it would be an expensive proposition, Keeway pleasantly surprised us with the pricing.
Jawa 42 Bobber
This retro beauty was launched in September 2022. After the Jawa Perak, the 42 Bobber is the only affordable bobber available in India, and acts as a more modern version of the Perak.
