Royal Enfield has recently removed the name Electra from its product portfolio and the bike will now be called Bullet 350

Royal Enfield will not carry the name Electra in its fleet anymore. If you visit the company's official website, you won't find it in their product listing, which has raised speculations about the discontinuation of the bike. However, the company is just changing the identity of the Electra and it will be known as the Bullet 350 from now onward. The bike is now listed among the colour variants of the Bullet 350 on the official website, which means that the company is now offering the bike as a trim under the Bullet 350 model.

The Royal Enfield Electra already had the badge of "Bullet 350" and the name Electra wasn't even mentioned anywhere on the bike. Moreover, both the bikes had almost similar features with a few variations like the different mudguards, the paint scheme and the "Royal Enfield" logo on the fuel tank. Maybe that's why the company decided to merge the Electra with the more popular Bullet 350. The company could also call the Electra as the ES (Electric Start) or Disc Brake trim of the Bullet 350, as the standard model doesn't get any of these features even as options.

The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 was earlier being sold in only black colour, but the Electra now adds 4 more colour options to the model -- Black (ES), Silver (ES), Maroon (ES) and Blue (ES). Built on a single down-tube frame, the bike uses its 350cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine as a stressed member. The thumping motor, which is the most celebrated feature of the bike, makes 20PS of power at 5,250rpm and delivers a peak torque of 28Nm at just 4,000rpm. Other features of the bike include a beefy 35mm front telescopic forks, gas charged rear suspension, large 19" wheels and a front disc brake (optional).

The standard RE Bullet 350 comes with a price tag of around Rs 1.09 lakh, while the Electra, which is now a variant of the Bullet 350, has been priced at Rs 1.25 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
