- Could be priced at around Rs 2.75 lakh (ex-showroom).
- Test mule gets a new circular instrument cluster, LED indicators, split seat with large luggage rack and more.
- Will be powered by a liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, possibly producing around 40PS.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has been spotted testing yet again, and the latest spy shots reveal quite a few new details. It will likely be the replacement to the Royal Enfield Himalayan, whereas the Royal Enfield Scram 411 will be the more affordable offering.
The test mule comes with a new semi-digital circular instrument cluster, and LED indicators. Expect Royal Enfield to also equip the motorcycle with smartphone connectivity and Tripper Navigation. The windscreen appears to be non-adjustable, and the bike comes with tank braces that look sleeker than the ones on the Himalayan. It also gets a distinctive ADV-style front fender and fork arm covers for extra protection.
The ergonomics appear to be similar to the Himalayan, with no discernible changes. It gets a split seat setup with a beefy tail rack that should have a higher luggage carrying capacity than the Himalayan’s. The motorcycle will be powered by a single-cylinder engine displacing around 450cc, and will likely produce around 40PS. It could also be equipped with a six-speed transmission, similar to the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 / Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, which should make it properly highway-friendly.

It employs an inverted front fork, and the swingarm looks beefier as well. The rear continues with a linked monoshock. Even the front brake appears to be slightly larger than the one in the Himalayan, perhaps a 320mm unit. Moreover, it continues with the 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheel setup, with block pattern tyres.
Royal Enfield could launch the Himalayan 450 around mid-2023, likely at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.75 lakh . It will compete against the KTM 390 Adventure, and also the upcoming Hero 450 ADV.
