First showcased at EICMA 2021, the special edition bikes sold out within two minutes!
Royal Enfield has commenced deliveries of the beautifully exquisite 120th year Anniversary Editions of the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650, in the Indian market. Additionally, new owners of these unique bikes include distinguished personalities like Olympian Gagan Narang, the Indian Navy’s Rear Admiral Philipose G Pynumootil, and Malayalam film director Dhyan Sreenivasan, among others.
The bikes were first showcased at Royal Enfield’s stall at EICMA 2021, where it was announced that only 480 units in total – or 120 units each – will be made for all of Royal Enfield’s major markets, namely India, America, South-east Asia, and Europe.

Additionally, all the units allocated for India were sold out within just two minutes when they went on sale online on December 6 last year, despite the bikes commanding a hefty premium over their ‘regular’ counterparts. That said, the special edition bikes sported quite an extensive list of visual enhancements, all of which have been detailed in our past stories. However, they remained mechanically unchanged, their 648cc air-cooled parallel-twin engines making about 48PS and 52Nm. Besides, Royal Enfield has quite a few launches lined up for 2022, of which the Scram 411 has already hit the streets. To know more, check out the video below:
