The sales performance of Royal Enfield continues to stay strong as it post sales of 33918 units in domestic along with exports in April 2015, which records a growth of 42% over same period last year.
Royal Enfield has sold 33118 units in the domestic market and 800 units have been exported. The manufacturer has recorded a growth of 43 percent in the domestic sales and 25 percent growth in the exports. As the company is planning to break its boundaries with the introduction of a whole new series of engines, the company has also employed Pierre Terblanche, one of the world’s finest motorcycle designers and has invested over Rs. 500 crore for the establishment of two technology centers.
The two new motors to be a part of the motorcycling world soon are 410cc and 750cc. Last month, a 750cc, parallel-twin engine was found powering the Royal Enfield Continental GT. It had a 6-speed transmission system, twin carburetors and air-cooled mill with oil-cooler for a better fuel efficiency and power. The expected power output of the motor is over 50bhp and torque of 60Nm. This motor will definitely change the game for Royal Enfield motorcycles in the country.
