The 650cc cruiser will likely be launched by mid 2022
- The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 spied features a range of touring-friendly accessories.
- Will be powered by the same engine as the 650 twins.
- Features inverted front fork, a first for a production Royal Enfield.
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 has been spotted yet again with practical accessories that should go a long way in making the motorcycle more touring-friendly than ever. The bike could be launched around the middle of 2022, possibly at around Rs 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom). This will be the range-topping model, positioned above the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650.
Spied by our colleagues at PowerDrift, the test mule gets a shorter flyscreen, wide rearview mirrors, a crash guard with integrated auxiliary lights, saddle stays, and a cushioned backrest. Expect Royal Enfield to offer all these as accessories or pre-fit variants, much like the Stellar and Supernova variants of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350.
The bike will share the same powertrain as the 650 twins, likely churning out the same 47.6PS and 52Nm. It uses an inverted front fork, a first for a production-spec Royal Enfield. The rear uses a pair of shock absorbers, and braking is via disc at both ends. Royal Enfield has also provided the bike with alloy wheels and tubeless tyres for increased practicality. For improved ergonomics, the bike gets an easy-to-reach handlebar and a set of forward-biased footpegs as well.

Expect it to be equipped with a semi-digital twin pod instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation as standard. The lighting system may also be full-LED. The Royal Enfield Super Meteor will be a more affordable alternative to the more expensive Kawasaki Vulcan S.
