The GSX-1300R Suzuki Hayabusa is a bike that doesn’t need an introduction. Every biking freak must have dreamt of owning it once in life due to its breathtaking body design and the image it has created right since its inception. Suzuki has not upgraded the bike since a long time except few visual changes here and there. Finally, the admirers of Busa can hope for its refreshing one-up version as the renowned Young Machine magazine from Japan has issued a rendering that suggests a more powerful Hayabusa might take its shape soon.
Suzuki recently unveiled their GSX Concept and if the rumours are to be believed, the new Busa will be based on the above stated concept only. Regarding this, Suzuki stated, “Suzuki’s powerful, rider-friendly inline-four engines deliver an outstanding combination of fuel economy and endurance. Their technologies are reflected in numerous GSX-series models including the GSX-R1000, the Hayabusa, and the GSX-S1000. The concept GSX symbolizes the high-performance bikes that bear the GSX name. It gives form to Suzuki’s inline-four sportsbike-making spirit and evokes a cocoon from which the company’s future sportsbike models will be born.”
Furthermore, the magazine claims that the 2016 Hayabusa will come powered with a bigger 1,500cc engine that will displace the current 1,340cc mill. If turns real, the bike will rival against the Kawasaki ZX-14R that stands on top of the company’s product portfolio. There have been numerous speculations in the past that Suzuki will be bringing some spectacular products at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show and we think that the 2016 Hayabusa might be a part of their plans. Lets hope for the best and pray that Suzuki cherishes its admirers equally well with the new Hayabusa in the same way as it did with its inception back in the year 1999.
