The new service interval is applicable for small bikes as well as premium bikes
- Warranty for premium bikes has also been extended by 6,000km.
- Warranty for sub-170cc motorcycles, however, remains the same as before.
- New service schedule should ease the ownership experience.
If you own a Suzuki motorcycle, no matter if it’s a small capacity bike or a premium one, we have good news for you. The bike manufacturer has updated the service intervals of its entire motorcycle lineup. Also, while the warranty on small bikes remains the same (30,000km), it has increased the warranty on big bikes by 6,000km, bringing it up to 30,000km.
Speaking of sub-170cc bikes (the Intruder 150, Gixxer and Gixxer SF), the kilometre intervals are the same as before, but the company has increased the time intervals. For instance, while you'd have to give your bike for the third service 210-225 days after the second, the new service schedule allows you to do so after 240-255 days. Not just free service, but the company has even increased the time intervals for paid services too.
Bigger bikes, on the other hand, have seen a considerable change in their service intervals. While the first service period remains the same, the company has extended the days and kilometres for the subsequent services of its premium motorcycles. For example, the second service has been moved from after 120 days to 165-180 days and the kilometre interval has been increased from 4,000km to 6,000km.
This change in service intervals might prove beneficial for the customers, especially if you own a premium Suzuki bike, which now also come with an extended warranty.
