Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. registered a 1.10% increase in their April 2015 sales figures as compared to the corresponding period last year. The company sold 27,320 units in April 2015 as against 27,023 units in April 2014, recording a growth in its overall sales. Suzuki has shown a constant growth over the past few years.
Commenting on the sales growth, Mr. Atul Gupta, Executive Vice President, SMIPL, said “Although the two wheeler industry in general has experienced a slight slowdown, Suzuki has experienced growth in sales. The recently launched Gixxer SF, a fully faired variant of Gixxer has been very well received by consumers. We look forward to continuing this upwards sales trajectory in the coming months.”
The company recently launched India’s most affordable full faired motorcycle Suzuki Gixxer SF, which features a 154.9cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It generates a maximum power of 14.6bhp at 8,000rpm with a peak torque of 14Nm at 6,000rpm. This is the same motor that powers the people’s new favorite- Gixxer, a naked sports bike. Both the machines are designed on a same platform and claim a mileage of 62kmpl.
Astonishing part of the motorcycle is its rear wheel which is equipped with a 140mm wide rubber that offers a superb grip to the bike. The motorcycle is developed to target the prospective buyers of Yamaha Fazer, Bajaj Pulsar 220, Hero MotoCorp karizma and Bajaj Pulsar AS 150.
Suzuki Gixxer is the most awarded motorcycle of the year 2015. With an attractive outfit, it is also able to dominate its rivals. With the help of these two amazing products, Suzuki Motorcycle seems to have a better future in the Indian two-wheeler Industry.
