From retro roadsters to sporty electrics, August promises to be exciting!
July was quite a game-changing month for the Indian motorcycling industry. We not only got very impressive bikes like the Triumph Speed 400 and the Harley-Davidson X440, but they were also brilliantly priced. And if that’s made you feel that August will be boring, you’re wrong, for August is going to keep us busy. So before we begin this action-packed month, let’s check out all the two-wheelers that August could bring:
2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350
Royal Enfield’s new, impressive J-series platform is all set to get a fourth member, the 2023 Bullet 350. After endless spy shots, Royal Enfield finally put out the bike’s teaser last month.
But what the OG fanboys will love the most is the fact that this bike might get the old Royal Enfield badge!
2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 Expected Price- Rs 1.80 lakh (Ex-showroom)
Hero Karizma XMR 210
Karizma fanboys rejoice! The legendary bike is making a comeback in a more modern form and it’ll be called the Hero Karizma XMR 210. The bike was last spotted almost two months ago and its official teaser was put out earlier last month.
And more importantly, it’ll feature a bunch of firsts for a Hero bike. Check that out here. Here’s what we think its price could be.
Hero Karizma XMR 210 Expected Price- Rs 1.75 lakh (Ex-showroom)
Sporty TVS Electric Scooter
TVS recently released a teaser, something we think could be about its new electric scooter. The teaser shows that the scooter will have a sporty design and hence we think it could be an electric version of the sporty NTorq 125, inspired by TVS' previous showcase, the Creon e-scooter concept. Here’s when it’ll be launched.
Ather 450S
The Ather 450X has always been quite one of our favourite electric scooters given its sporty handling and reliability. But its major issue has always been the high price.
But now with the 450S, Ather plans to solve exactly that. While it was launched in June this year, its test mule was spotted this month. And that was followed by a teaser, showing us the upcoming scooter’s console.
We’ll be getting more details about the scooter on the 3rd and 4th of this month and our first ride review will be dropping soon after that. So stay tuned to BikeDekho for the same.
Ather 450S Price- Rs 1,29,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru, exclusive of state subsidies),
Ola S1 Variant
After having its sights set on the Honda Activa 6G, it appears that Ola has now turned its attention to the TVS Jupiter, specifically the Classic variant. A recent teaser showed an Ola S1 equipped with a windshield, and we think Ola could do something similar to what TVS did with the Jupiter Classic this time. Bits like a windshield, cushioned backrest, centre stand, and some old-school paint schemes could complete the scooter’s retro look.
Sporty Honda 160cc Commuter
Soon after we talked about it, Honda put out a teaser about its upcoming 160cc sporty commuter. But with the XBlade already on sale, why would Honda bring another sporty 160cc commuter? Here’s why it’ll happen.
Honda 160cc Commuter Expected Price- Rs 1.12 lakh (Ex-showroom)
