2024 was an exciting year to say the least especially for those who love electric vehicles and the instant torque which they deliver. We had some awesome two-wheelers being revealed, concepts being shown and models being launched. But what are our favourite electric two-wheelers of 2024? Let’s have a look:
Ather 450 Apex
Price: Rs 1,94,998 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru)
The Ather 450 Apex is the most powerful offering from the Bangalore-based startup. The scooter is based upon the 450X and shares its underpinnings with it. The Apex gets a few additional features which sets the scooter apart such as an exclusive “Warp+” mode, translucent side body panels which exposes the underpinning giving the scooter a cool look and regenerative braking. The 450 Apex is also the fastest scooter from the manufacturer with a claimed top-speed of 100kmph making it very fun and engaging to ride.
Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2
Price: From Rs 2,99,000 to Rs 3,99,000 (both prices ex-showroom, Bengaluru)
The Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2, now in its second generation, is an electric sport bike which delivers great performance and has a ton of features which you would not get in bikes even above its price segment. The aggressive riding posture and the futuristic design is sure to set the F77 apart from anything else on the road and gather attention. While having a claimed top-speed of 155kmph, the motorcycle has a stiff ride quality which is not to everyone’s taste.
Revolt RV1
Price: From Rs 84,990 to Rs 99,990 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi)
The Revolt RV1 is the most affordable electric bike from the manufacturer and is available in two variants. The motorcycle gets a neo-retro design, a good feature list and the top variant can be charged from 0-100 percent in just 90 minutes with a fast charger. It is a decent electric motorcycle with a good range and enough power and top-speed to ride in the city and cover short highway sprints as well.
Bajaj Chetak 3202
Price: Rs 1,15,018 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
The Bajaj Chetak 3202 is the new variant in the Chetak lineup and replaces the Urbane variant. It gets the same 3.2kWh battery capacity as the Urbane variant but Bajaj has implemented new battery cell technology which offers more range than before and also makes it more affordable than the Urbane variant. The Chetak makes for a great family-oriented electric scooter with a cool vintage style design and a comfortable ride quality.
BMW CE 02
Price: Rs 4,49,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
The BMW CE 02 is unlike any other electric two-wheelers you will ever see on the road. While the scooter is priced absurdly and does not make enough power like its rivals, it provides a riding experience like no other. The large chunky tyres on the BMW provide a good amount of grip on roads and the ride quality allows the scooter to glide over potholes effortlessly.
