Here are the top 5 features of the 2017 Bonneville T100, which has been launched in India with a starting price tag of Rs 7.78 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Triumph Motorcycle India today launched the new Bonneville T100 in the country. Priced at Rs 7.78 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the modern classic motorcycle is the third lowest-priced offering from the house of the British manufacturer. It is an amazing combination, sharing cosmetics with the Bonneville T120 and the mechanics of the Street Twin. So, let's check out the interesting features of the newly launched Triumph Bonneville T100.

Authentic Styling: As we mentioned before, the Bonneville T100 shares the styling with its elder sibling, the T120, which is inspired by the iconic ‘59 Bonneville. The distinctive character of the motorcycle incorporates the original Bonneville DNA that stays faithful to the evocative heritage of the motorcycle. There are a host of stunning details, such as the sculpted signature fuel tank with 'Triumph' badging, wire spoke wheels and peashooter silencers, along with chrome finishes and brushed aluminium elements. Along with these retro style features, the LED lights and the twin-pod analog-digital console makes it a true modern classic machine.

High Torque Engine: Powering the new Bonneville T100 is a specially tuned 900cc 'high torque' engine that is claimed to deliver an optimum balance of performance and fuel economy. The advanced 8-valve, parallel-twin motor gets liquid cooling for more efficient running in long journeys. Mated to a new slick five-speed transmission, the mill gets a torque-assist clutch for reduced clutch lever effort. The motor delivers 22 per cent more power with 55PS and 18 per cent increased peak torque with 80Nm at just 3,200rpm. Moreover, the company has enhanced the long-term durability of the engine along with 29 per cent better fuel economy.

More Accessible Design: Weighing less than the T120, the 2017 Triumph Bonneville T100 offers a more accessible design as compared to its predecessor. The bike feels nimbler with a shorter wheelbase, rake and trail, and the low seat height further makes it accessible for every type of ride and rider. The company has also worked on the comfort and handling parts, making it an easy to use machine on streets as well as on long-distance rides.

Uprated Tyres and Brakes: The new Triumph Bonneville T100 runs on special Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp rubber, exclusively developed for the new Bonneville range. The high-grade tyres add both grip and feedback and their unique tread complements the styling of the bike as well. The new disc brakes on both ends have been updated to provide better, more progressive braking as compared to its predecessor, along with enhanced feedback. Moreover, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) is also standard on the bike now.

Electronic Goodies: The bike just looks retro but gets lots of advanced electronic goodies. The ride-by-wire technology provides a better throttle response to the new Bonneville T100, along with a higher level of control and feel. Another addition is the switchable traction control that optimises torque delivery according to the requirement. An engine immobiliser is there for the security of the bike and a USB charging socket is also provided under the seat for extra convenience.

Along with all these fantastic features, the 2017 Triumph Bonneville offers more than 150 custom-inspired accessories, so one can give a special touch to the bike according to the individual's taste.
