Triumph Motorcycles soon to triumph over Indian roads

Triumph displayed its bike series for the Indian market at the recently concluded Auto Expo in New Delhi. The stylish motorcycle series from Britain is expected to roll out this year itself in the Indian market. The comapny has fully prepared for this. There is also news about Triumph setting up its own manufacturing plant in India. The company is in conversation with the government of Karnatak about this and if things fall in place, the plant will begin functioning in a year's time. However, according to experts, it will be better for the company if they first look at using custom knocked down kits and then gradually begin the production of motorcycles in India.

This would enable Triumph to take a safer route and hence minimize their risks. The main challenge for Triumph though will be competing with the already established Harley Davidson. The company has been for quite some time in the Indian market and its products are already very popular. Moreover, Harley Davidson has a well-settled manufacturing plant in Haryana. Hence Triumph will first have to gain some popularity comparable to Harley Davidson. For this the company has already started with its attempts. Their manufacturing planting is likely to be located in a 40 acres area on the Chennai-Banglore Highway.

Triumph motorcycles have a strong brand reputation and owning a Triumph bike a considered to be a strong style statement by buyers. Hence Indian customers would be eagerly waiting for these bikes. At the beginning, the company would be bringing their bikes as CBUs which would be fixed at lower prices to increase the company's popularity. Later the company will assemble some of its bikes like the Triumph Daytona 675, Bonneville, Street Triple and Speed Triple. The actual response from buyers would be confirmed once the bikes are launched in India.
