The ride intends to raise funds and help children receive quality education

To commemorate India’s 71st Independence Day, Triumph, the iconic British bike manufacturer, will be partnering with Smile Foundation to support the cause of Girl Child Education. The Ride for Freedom will be held across 16 cities in India, which comprises Triumph’s 5000-strong customer base. Through this ride, Triumph will reach out to its customer base and beyond and encourage them to donate towards the betterment of girl child education.

This isn't the first time the British firm has tied up with a charitable organization. In the past, Triumph has successfully sponsored the education of more than 200 girl children across communities. In many parts of India, women aren’t given the right to education and Triumph believes that ‘True Independence’ is achieved when all citizens share equal rights. Through these rides, the bikemaker intends to spread awareness and help children receive quality education.

The ride will be flagged off from New Delhi on 15 August by Mr Shoeb Farooq, General Manager of Triumph Motorcycles India.

Here’s the official statement from the manufacturer.
