Both bikes are based on the same 398.15cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine but the T4 makes slightly less power and torque
Triumph India has recently launched the Speed T4 as its most affordable bike, starting at Rs 2,17,000. The British manufacturer also launched the updated 2025 Triumph Speed 400 as well but with a slight price hike of Rs 5,503. The bike is now priced at Rs 2,40,000 (ex-showroom).
The Triumph Speed T4 is available in 3 colour schemes and the 2025 Triumph Speed 400 now comes in 4 updated colour options.
Triumph Speed T4
The new Triumph Speed T4 differentiates itself visually from its 400cc siblings as it gets a telescopic fork instead of an inverted one, it also has different rear view mirrors, front fender, rim stickers and MRF tyres. Because of these more affordable parts, it is Rs 23,000 cheaper than the 2025 Speed 400. The Speed T4 gets three colours:
Metallic White
The Triumph Speed T4 in Metallic White colour looks elegant with the white base colour. It has grey graphics with red stripes. The bike also features the triangular Triumph logo on the front half of the fuel tank and a 400 decal on the rear half. The side panels have Speed T4 badging as well. The rim stickers also have white and red stripes.
Cocktail Red Wine
The Speed T4 in the Cocktail Red Wine colour scheme looks attractive with its bright red base colour. It has the same graphics and rim stickers as the other colour options mentioned above. It is our favourite one in the Triumph T4 range.
Phantom Black
The Speed T4 Phantom Black has a shiny black base colour which is complemented by grey and white graphics complemented by red stripes. It also has a similar Triumph logo and 400 decal on the tank along with the Speed T4 badge on the side panels. The Phantom black colour also has white and red rim stickers.
Triumph Speed 400
The 2025 Triumph Speed 400 now sits between the Speed T4 and Triumph Scrambler 400 X in the brand’s 400cc motorcycle range. It now comes in 4 dual-tone colour options:
Racing Yellow/Pearl Metallic White
The Racing Yellow/Pearl Metallic White colour is the latest addition to the Speed 400’s colour range and looks. It comes with a vibrant dual-tone yellow and white paint scheme on the fuel tank, which is separated by a grey stripe. It gets the Triumph logo on the front part of the fuel tank and Speed 400 badging on the side panels. It has yellow and white rim stickers. The Racing Yellow/Pearl Metallic White paint scheme is our new favourite in the Speed 400 line-up.
Phantom Black/Pewter Grey
The Speed 400 in the Phantom Black/Pewter Grey colour scheme looks stealthy with its dual-tone dark grey and black colour scheme. On the tank, it features the same Triumph logo and a light grey stripe between the dark grey and black colours. This colour features grey and white rim stickers.
Pearl Metallic White/Pewter Grey
The Triumph Speed 400 Pearl Metallic White/Pewter Grey paint scheme looks subtle. It has dark grey and white colours on the fuel tank, with a light grey stripe. It also has the triangle Triumph logo on the tank and Speed 400 badging on the side panels.
Racing Red/Pearl Metallic White
The Racing Red/Pearl Metallic White shade on the Speed 400 features a dual-tone colour scheme with bright red and white colours. It also has the same grey stripe as the other colour schemes along with the same graphics on the tank and side panels.
Both bikes are powered by the same 398.15cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine but the T4 makes 31PS and 36Nm whereas the Speed 400 makes 40PS and 37.5Nm. Both bikes are paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
