TVS Apache 200 to Outshine KTM 200 Duke in terms of Power; Full Specifications Leaked

While most of us were busy checking out the new spy shots of the much awaited TVS Apache 200, the leaked technical specifications of the bike only make us more curious about it. Seeing the images, it seems that TVS had been working hard on the bike over the past few months. The upcoming flagship from TVS will churn out the best in class power and would be quicker than its closest rival - KTM 200 Duke in terms of acceleration.

Apart from a powerful engine, the manufacturer has also kept in mind the NVH levels and thankfully the new motor would be better able to handle them. If the reports in Car Blog India are to be believed, the engine used in the Apache 200 is a modified version of the RTR 180’s mill with a high level of refinement. The 200cc, air-cooled engine with oil-cooler, has been linked to a five-speed transmission setup and will churn out 25.6bhp of maximum power that clearly beats other 200cc machines in this segment. The fuel supply will be carburetted type and the throaty mill will redline at round 9,000 to 10,000rpm.

TVS Apache 200 is bolted on a double cradle synchro stiff frame that has been equipped with telescopic forks at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. The bike will roll on a 90/90-R17 front and 130/70-R17 rear TVS SriChakra tyres and is expected to come with Pirelli tyres in the premium trim. For braking, the manufacturer has deployed 270mm petal disc brake at the front and 250mm petal disc brake at the rear, along with a dual channel ABS as an option. The fully digital instrument cluster would be highly informative like the existing models and comprises of race-inspired features such as rev-limit indicator and lap timer. Other features include split rear body grab rail, LED tail light, aggressive headlamp with white LED DRLs and much more.  

If you wish for a 200cc bike under Rs. 1 lac, hold on for a while as the TVS Apache 200 might just be the machine you have been looking for.
