It is expected to launch next month, likely to get new colours and mechanical updates
- The upcoming variant of the Apache RR 310 could get a new matte grey paint scheme.
- We expect it to feature a slipper clutch as well.
- Likely to command a premium of around Rs 6,000 over the standard model.
TVS has teased a video featuring a new variant of Apache RR 310 on its official YouTube channel. Details about this upcoming variant are scarce, but we expect TVS to launch a race edition of its flagship motorcycle. The teaser video says ‘Crafted to be invisible’, so expect the new variant to get a stealthy paint option (a matte grey, maybe?).
There’s no confirmation from TVS about the mechanical changes. However, we expect the new variant to get a slipper clutch given that the smaller Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition comes with a slipper clutch. Other mechanical parts such as engine, brakes and suspension setup could receive minor updates as well.
Back in March, TVS had asked Apache RR 310 owners to get their motorcycles updated for free at authorised TVS dealerships. As part of the update, the ECU was re-mapped for better refinement. Also, the company had added piping around the edges of the windscreen and new bar-end weights, to reduce rattling and vibrations.
There’s no confirmation about the launch date, but the upcoming variant could be launched by the end of this month. We expect the new variant to command a premium of around Rs 6,000 over the standard Apache RR 310, which will bring the retail price to Rs 2.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The flagship TVS model goes up against the KTM RC 390.
