The much-awaited motorcycle from TVS - Apache RTR 200 is spotted again during testing in Indonesia. The most notable thing that we noticed here was that there were two similar models with two distinct tyres. So, it gives us an impression that the flagship model of TVS might come in two variants such as Standard and Premium. The standard variant of Apache is likely to be equipped with IRC tyres along with petal disc brakes while the Premium variant is likely to come with Pirelli tyres as well as dual-channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS).
The design concept of this bike is taken from the Draken x21 which was first unveiled at 2014 Auto Expo and the company has plans to put the Apache RTR 200 against the KTM Duke 200 and as this model is said to be faster than Duke 200. The bike is expected to be powered by a 200cc, liquid-cooled, fuel injected engine that will develop a maximum power of 22bhp. The engine will come linked to a 5-speed transmission system.
The Apache RTR 200 is equipped with a flat handlebar that provides a sporty and comfortable ergonomics. The bike will also sport some noteworthy elements such as fully digital instrument console, sturdy fuel tank, a silencer end canister with an auxiliary box and LED taillights. It is will be unveiled at upcoming Auto Expo and it is expected to be priced at around Rs. 1 lac.
The manufacturer is busy these days as it is and gearing up as it is for producing most thrilling products like BMW G 310 R as well as its country version and also new TVS Victor.
