It also looks like the streetfighter has been designed in-house by TVS and will not share many similarities with the BMW G 310 R
TVS is gearing up for the launch of their 1st sporty e-scooter tomorrow. Following closely, the eagerly anticipated launch of the Apache RTR 310 is scheduled for September 6. And now, the manufacturer has released another teaser of the upcoming motorcycle.
This teaser gives a glimpse of the motorcycle's rear end, revealing a split-seat configuration with distinct and sharp design elements. Notably, the teaser includes coordinates that correspond to TVS' manufacturing facility in Hosur. This, coupled with the clay model being crafted, strongly indicates that the naked streetfighter is TVS’ original design, dispelling any notion that it’ll be a rebadged BMW G 310 R.
Based on recent spy photographs, we are already privy to certain details of the Apache RTR 310. These include adjustable levers, a single-piece handlebar, rear-set footpegs, and a sporty riding posture. Previous sightings unveiled a robust fuel tank with extensions, a detail also seen in the latest teaser. The motorcycle will be built upon the shared 310cc platform of TVS and BMW Motorrad.
From another instance, we confirmed that the upcoming streetfighter will have a floating license plate holder and rear indicators similar to those on the Apache RR 310, BMW G 310 R, and BMW G 310 GS. It is expected to have a non-adjustable upside-down (USD) fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock suspension setup. The motorcycle's engine will be the same 312.7cc, reverse inclined, single-cylinder engine found in the Apache RR 310, generating 34PS and 27.3Nm. TVS might give it a different tuning setup to suit its streetfighter persona. Also, the riding modes of the RR 310 boasts likely to be present in the RTR 310.
The TVS Apache RTR 310 is expected to have a price tag of around Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, its rivals will include the KTM 390 Duke, Triumph Speed 400, BMW G 310 R, Keeway K300N, and the Honda CB300R.
