TVS Jive sales reaches 8000 units per month

TVS Jive, the recently launched clutch-less bike in the Indian market is claimed to be clocking the sales of as many as 8,000 units per month. According to market reports, the buyers are quite happy with this new concept bike and are giving it preference over other popular bikes of this price segment. The company is expecting that the sales figures of Jive will grow even higher in coming months as the craze of clutch-less bikes is gradually increasing in small cities and rural areas of the country.
The company had rolled-out the Jive model in the Indian market after receiving an overwhelming response from the Indian buyers for its bikes like TVS Flame SR 125 and TVS Apache RTR 180. The Jive model carries a 110cc engine which is able to generate a peak power of as much as 8.4 bhp along with a maximum torque of 8.3 Nm. The automatic clutch technology of the TVS Jive has been borrowed from company's another automatic clutch bike, TVS Neo, which is currently available in the Indonesian market. The new generation T-Matic technology of the Jive model changes its gears automatically without any manual effort.
The Jive model carries a range of new generation features that comprises of handsfree gearshift, the unique under seat storage space, gear indicator and four-speed transmission gearbox. The bike is priced at Rs 41,000 (ex-showroom, Chennai). The another mentionable feature of Jive model is its feature-anti-stall mechanism that maintains the smoothness of the riding experience of the bike even at the lower speeds.
