TVS Records 8 Per Cent Growth in Two-Wheeler Sales During Feb 2016

The Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer- TVS Motor Company has recorded 8 per cent growth in the sales of two-wheelers during the month of February 2016 as compared to Feb 2015. The company sold 211,148 units in the last month as against the 195,509 units sold in the corresponding month of last year.

Domestic two wheeler sales grew by 11.4 per cent with sales increasing from 164,508 units in February 2015 to 183,199 units in February 2016. Scooter sales of the company grew by 18.2 per cent increasing from 56,750 units in February 2015 to 67,089 units in February 2016. Motorcycles recorded 3.8 percent growth with sales increasing from 74,292 units in the month of February 2015 to 77,093 units in February 2016.

The company's total exports registered sales of 34,804 units in February 2016 as against 38,725 units in the month of February 2015. Two wheeler exports recorded sales of 27,949 units in February 2016 as against 31,001 units in February 2015.

Overall sales of TVS Motor including three-wheelers increased by 7 per cent from 204,565 units recorded in February 2015 to 219,467 units in February 2016. The company is also going to launch its new offerings- the Apache RTR 200 4V and Victor soon across the country that will further help them to boost the sales figure in the coming months.
