Chennai-based automaker TVS Motor has launched the Himalayan Highs Special Edition of the popular Scooty Zest 110, which has been priced at Rs 46,113 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new edition costs approximately Rs. 600 over the standard trim. In September 2015, Anam Hashim, India’s known professional freestyle motorcycle rider rode a TVS Scooty Zest 110 to Khardung La Top (18,380 feet) -- one of the highest motorable roads in the world. With completion of this feet, Anam became the first woman to pass Khardung La on a 110cc scooter. So, the special edition is a tribute to her strong spirit and this achievement.
The Zest is a female specific scooter with a 110cc CVTi engine and kerb weight of just 98.5kg, providing it with a good power to weight ratio. It also claims to return a great fuel economy of up to 62kmpl and best-in-class pick-up with 0-60 kmph in mere 11.1 seconds.
The Scooty Zest 110 has a seat height of just 760mm, making it a woman friendly commuter. The scooter runs on 10" tubeless tyres and gets telescopic forks at the front and dual rated mono-shock at the rear. Other key features include built-in USB phone charger, 19-litre under-seat storage, dual bag hooks along with under-seat helmet hook, front glove box, EaZy centre stand and parking brake.
