Upcoming Honda Activa Electric Teased Again

The Activa Electric will rival the other family-focused electric scooters like the Ola S1, Ather Rizta and TVS iQube Electric

Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India (HMSI) has dropped another teaser for the upcoming Activa Electric scooter, ahead of the scooter’s official reveal on November 27, 2024. It is likely to be based on the Honda CUV e electric scooter, which was showcased at EICMA 2024. 

What does the new teaser reveal?

The latest Honda Activa Electric teaser gives us a glimpse of the e-scooter’s motor, headlight and seat. The electric motor in the latest teaser seems to be the same as the mid-mounted motor on the CUV e. It even gets the same blue and white Honda badging.

For your perspective, the CUV e gets a 6kW motor which is linked with two removable 1.3kWh batteries. The CUV e is claimed to have a 70km range and promises a top speed of 80kmph. Honda says that it takes 3 hours to charge from 0 to 75 percent. 

The teaser further gives us a sneak peek of the scooter’s headlight, a bit of the front apron and the seat, which looks pretty spacious. Moreover, these parts also look very similar to the CUV e.

What else does the CUV e scooter get?

The Honda CUV e features a 5-inch instrument console as standard and a big 7-inch TFT console is present on the Honda RoadSync Duo variant. The smaller console misses out on connectivity features, but the bigger 7-inch console comes with smartphone connectivity offering call/SMS alerts, navigation and music controls. It also gets a fob key, a USB-C charging port and three ride modes: Standard, Sport and Econ, along with a reverse mode.

The underpinnings of the electric scooter include a telescopic fork and twin rear shocks. For braking, the scooter gets a 190mm front disc and a 110mm rear drum brake. The scooter comes with 12-inch alloy wheels. The CUV e has a 765mm seat height and a 270mm ground clearance.

Honda Activa Electric: Expected Price & Launch Date

The Honda Activa Electric scooter will be unveiled on November 27, 2024. It could be launched sometime before March 2025. Honda may price it at around Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom). The scooter competes against the likes of other family-focused electric scooters like the Ola S1, Ather Rizta, Vida V1 and TVS iQube Electric.
