The upcoming Triumph Scrambler T4 would be a more affordable option to the Triumph Scrambler 400 X
Quick News Highlights
- The Triumph Scrambler T4 has been spied for the first time
- Likely to get a similar engine tune as the Triumph Speed T4
- Expected to be about Rs 15,000 cheaper than the Triumph Scrambler 400 X
Triumph India has launched the Speed T4 a few months back in September 2024. The bike is Rs 23,000 cheaper than the Speed 400. Now, it looks like Triumph is planning to launch the Scrambler T4 soon as the bike was spied testing for the first time. It will be a more affordable version of the Scrambler 400.
Here’s What the Spy Shots Reveal
The upcoming Triumph Scrambler T4 has a similar design and the same fuel tank as the Triumph Scrambler 400 X. But the side panels seem a little different, the tank also misses out on the tank grips on the sides. The bike also lacks a headlight grille, but has a small visor like the Triumph Speed 400. The Scrambler T4 test bike seems to have a simpler and flatter handlebar and also misses out on knuckle guards. It has a plain and long single-piece seat unlike the Scrambler 400 X which has a quilted split-seat setup. The bike is also expected to get different paint schemes to stand out from its sibling.
We expect the Triumph Scrambler T4 to have a similar toned-down engine tuning as the Triumph Speed T4. The Speed T4 has a 398.15cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 31PS at 7000rpm and 36Nm at 5000rpm, which is 9PS and 1.5Nm less than the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X. All of this has been done to make the bike more affordable.
The upcoming Scrambler T4 also seems to feature the same semi-digital instrument console as the Scrambler 400 X, but may miss out on a few features to reduce costs.
The spied Scrambler T4 has an inverted fork and a monoshock. The braking setup is expected to remain unchanged with a 320mm front disc brake and a 230mm rear disc brake, with dual-channel ABS as standard. It is likely to get the same 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, wrapped with 100-section front and 140-section rear block pattern tyres.
Expected Launch Date & Price
The Triumph Scrambler T4 is expected to launch around March 2025. It is likely to be priced about Rs 15,000 lower than the Scrambler 400X, which is currently priced at Rs 2,64,496 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This places the Scrambler T4’s expected price somewhere close to Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
