The updated scooters will be launched in India by April this year
We don’t know how to say this but here it goes -- the Piaggio Group stole the limelight at this year’s auto expo. The Italian brand was the only manufacturer that brought something exciting with it at the event. And in the middle of the new Aprilia scooters and the RSV4 1100 Factory, Vespa showcased its entire range of updated BS6 products.
Vespa had already launched the BS6 range of scooters a few months back, making it one of the first manufacturers to completely update its lineup to meet the new emission norms. However, we were under the impression that Vespa may bring some new features or cosmetic changes to the BS6-compliant models. But what we got was similar-looking scooters. However, Vespa will bring the updated versions of these BS6-compliant scooters soon, which will come with LED headlamps.
Usually, for a difference so minuscule, brands will hike the price by around Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000, but Vespa (bring a premium Italian brand) had increased the prices by up to Rs 18,000 when it first launched its BS6 range. So we don't know for sure if Vespa will increase the price further or not! Apart from the updated motor, there aren’t any other mechanical changes.
What do you think? Is the insane price increment justifiable? Let us know in the comments.
