These might look similar but they pack a lot more punch than the Hondas
With the exception of a few, Chinese motorcycle manufacturers aren’t known for originality. However, their attempts are sometimes laudable. Having brought to you the lookalikes of the Yamaha Aerox and the Ducati Scrambler, today we bring to you another bikemaker that has made motorcycles that are a little too ‘similar’ to another marque’s bikes.
Case in point the Jiajue CN800-Zhen and the CNR800-Rui. The former has been ‘inspired’ by the Honda CB650R, the latter by the Honda CBR650R. That said, both bikes pack quite a punch.
They get a 796cc, inline-four engine that makes 118.6PS and 93Nm; a colossal 31.6PS and 35.5Nm more than the Hondas. These bikes also get a six-speed transmission along with a slipper clutch. The lighting system is all-LED.
The Chinese bikes also come equipped with top-shelf hardware in the form of KYB shock absorbers and Nissin brake calipers along with dual-channel ABS. The bikes also get a TFT instrument cluster, an upgrade over the Hondas’ dated LCD screen.
While official pricing hasn’t been revealed, it’s predicted that the bikes will be priced between 30,000-40,000 Yuan (approximately Rs 3.53- Rs 4.71 lakh).
The CN800-Zhen and the CNR800-RUi are likely to be limited to China and will definitely not be coming to India. So if you’re looking to get yourself a middleweight streetfighter, you could have a look at the Kawasaki Z800 or the BMW F 900 R.
